Less than 5% of educational content in the U.S. includes women's history. On Sunday, April 19, a local non-profit is changing that — live, on stage, in Newport Beach.
Making HERstory: The Experience is a 60-minute theatrical performance by the Women's Journey Foundation, featuring a multigenerational cast of women and girls portraying trailblazing American women — including Madam C.J. Walker, Bella Abzug, Susan B. Anthony, and Georgia O'Keeffe.

The event takes place at Campus JAX (1012 Coast Highway, Newport Beach) at 6 PM and includes interactive exhibits and a Legacy Award ceremony.
The Women's Journey Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that has been funding free self-esteem programs for at-risk girls since 2002. Their Making HERstory film won a Bronze Anthem Award — this is the live experience that inspired it.
