The Dana Point Harbor’s Boat Parade of Lights returns this holiday season for its 50th celebration on December 12, 13 & 14, 2024. The parade begins nightly at 6:30 p.m. Boaters will decorate their vessels to the theme of the parade, for a chance to win up to $10,000 in cash prizes across several award categories, courtesy of Dana Point Harbor Partners. To help visitors navigate the Harbor easily during the busy holiday season, Dana Point Harbor’s FREE shuttle service will be available daily from 7:30am to 10:00pm, offering convenient park-and-ride options. City of San Juan Capistrano Tree Lighting Event

Don’t miss the City’s annual Tree Lighting Celebration Saturday, December 6, at Historic Town Center Park located at 31872 El Camino Real. Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. with pre-show entertainment, followed by a musical holiday production. The tree lighting will take place at 5:45 p.m. followed by a variety of holiday activities. In addition, the shops within the Los Rios District will offer unique gift shopping, live music and treats from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free event trolley service will be available from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The service includes two trolleys on 20-minute frequencies servicing a continuous loop from Junipero Serra Road (JSerra Catholic High School North Campus northern terminus) to a trolley stop at Stonehill Drive and Del Obispo Street.
